About Us

We conceived shurtz early in 2012 to cater for customers who required quality printed garments (and other items) that could conceivably be printed using heat-applied media.

We offer a photo/image transfer and vinyl printing service for all occasions and virtually all garments. Customers can supply the items or we can provide what you require. Let us know how you want each item personalising and we will give you a fixed quotation.

Unusual items such as untreated gazebos, cloth mobile covers, pillow cases, smooth baby-grows, flags and banners are all items we routinely print. If it's made of cotton, polyester, or poly-cotton, chances are we can print it.

Typical products and services we supply include personalised tee shirts for hen and stag parties, safety and corporate wear for businesses, uniforms for sports and social clubs, naming and numbering of football kits, work-wear including tunics for beauty therapists and hairdressers, holiday-wear and general fashion-wear. In fact, we can source just about anything.

If you call on stall at Leigh Market, we can usually recreate your required design on screen there and then for you to check out prior to printing and, even during our busier periods we will send a draught design to you on the same day by email for you to approve.

Garment Care

Care Of Garments

Please always follow the instructions on the garment manufacturer's guidance tag. Additionally, garments which have been printed using heat pressed vinyl or heat pressed transfer paper MUST be washed at or below 40° C (under 30°C for nylon) AND must be both washed AND ironed while inside out. Do not tumble-dry. Do not dry-clean. Also, as you were told when ordering, photo-transfers WILL GRADUALLY FADE with washing.

Copyright Designs

Please note that we cannot use copyright designs when personalising garments. Acceptance of an order by shurtz is made on the assumption and condition that the customer has consent to use the required design.

Festive Period

Thanks again for supporting shurtz throughout 2016. It's been a grand year! :)

We'll be having a small break from 12.00pm (noon) on Saturday 24 December 2016 and will reopen at 9.30am on Tuesday 3 January 2017.

Orders for pre-Christmas delivery are becoming increasingly harder to satisfy. Please ring or call on stall to find out whether we can fit you in before buying garments for us to print. It all depends upon order size and complexity and we can only judge that on seeing your proposed design/s.

Wigan Council's Local History Publication, "Past Forward" Now Available From Shurtz

Shurtz is now an official seller of the Wigan Council publication, "Past Forward". It is produced by Wigan Museums & Archives and the first edition we have in stock is Issue No. 74, December 2016 - March 2017. It's an excellent 36 page magazine aimed mainly at those who have an interest in local history and includes articles supplied by local history aficionados together with content sourced directly from the Archives themselves. Priced at £2.00, it offers excellent value for money. Please check our opening times before calling to collect your copy!!

New Opening Times & A Small Break!

As my regular customers already know, Shurtz is 'officially' closed on Mondays but, from March to October (inclusive), we do tend to open the stall on that day from 1.00pm-4.00pm. This post is just to let you know that the stall will not be manned on Monday 17th. October 2016 and on subsequent Mondays until the beginning of March 2017. A reminder too of an upcoming break this OCTOBER. We will be closed from Thursday 27th of this month returning Friday 11th November at 9.30am. Two weeks closed. Sorry for any inconvenience but this year has been intense and the Shurtz crew, although being very grateful for all your support, definitely needs a break!! :)

Forwarding Images & Designs

Just a guide for people who want to forward required designs/images to me. My preferred methods are physical photographs which I can scan and digital images which can be sent via email (shurtz@hotmail.co.uk), WhatsApp or text attachment (07530 703582), Facebook message and phone-to-phone bluetooth. Please don't bring in files on CD and pen drive any more, because it poses an ever increasing security risk. Thanks in anticipation.

A Couple Of Breaks

A little bit early I know, but this is a heads-up of two forthcoming closures. Please plan your orders around these. Hopefully it won't cause too much inconvenience:-
SEPTEMBER
Closed Saturday 24th at 12.00 noon and returning 9.30am on Tuesday 27th at 9.30am. One and a half days closed.
OCTOBER
Closed Thursday 27th returning Friday 11th November at 9.30am. Two weeks closed.

Hen, Stag & Holiday Season

It's coming up to hen, stag and holiday season and, based on what customers have told us in previous years, the unfortunate individuals who are nominated to organise printed shirts for the group can get a little stressed!! At shurtz we will do all we can to make the process as smooth and hassle free as possible!!! The message on the shirt says it all....

A Little Break!

Just a heads-up to let you know that we'll be having a little break before silly season is upon us! We'll be closed from Thursday 25th February 2016 to Thursday 3rd March 2016 (inclusive).
